Your music stays yours.

The app

What we collect

Nothing. The app has no account, no analytics and no advertising, and it contains no third-party tracking code. It does not connect to any server of ours.

Where your work is kept

Projects, recordings and sounds are stored on your device. If you choose iCloud Drive, Apple stores them under your Apple Account, and Apple's privacy policy applies. You decide when to share a file, through the system's share sheet.

What the app asks permission for

• Microphone: to record from the microphone or an audio interface onto audio tracks and sampler pads. Recordings stay in your project.
• Bluetooth: to connect MIDI keyboards and controllers.
• Local network: to find other devices running Ellic Studio and Macs on your network, so they can play in time and exchange patterns, clips and sounds. This stays on your local network.

Crash reports

The system gives the app reports of crashes, hangs and similar problems. They are kept on your device and sent nowhere. In Settings you can read, export or delete them. We only see one if you send it to us.

What Apple handles

Downloads, subscriptions and payments go through Apple. We never see your payment details. If you have agreed to share analytics with developers, or you use TestFlight, Apple may give us crash data, usage figures that do not identify you, and any feedback you send through TestFlight.

This website

This site uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party services, and its fonts are served from our own server. The sounds on the page play in your browser. Nothing you play is recorded or sent anywhere.

The server that hosts the site may keep ordinary technical logs, such as IP address, time and page requested, to keep it running and secure. They are used for nothing else.

If you email us

We use your address and whatever you send, including any report or project you attach, to answer you. We keep it only as long as that takes, and do not share it. Ask us to delete it at any time.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data held about you, to object to its use, and to complain to your data protection authority. The only personal data we are likely to hold is your email to us. Write to the address above to use these rights.

Children

The app collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will appear here with a new date.
